The stunning sequel to Looking for Richard
Here’s a good piece on the recent discovery and confirmation of the skeleton of Richard III, “that valiant crookback prodigy,” under a parking lot — “carpark,” as the Brits would have it — in Leicester. Unfortunately for those of us curious, the two skeletons believed to be the young princes in the Tower will not be exhumed for DNA comparison. Nevertheless, I’m going to celebrate the find by rereading Josephine Tey’s excellent Richard III mystery The Daughter of Time.
Also, now that archaeology is cool again, can we have Time Team back?
