Sherlock Holmes Stunt Schooled

There’s so much stage combat on YouTube that I usually don’t go looking for it, but these two promo videos for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows popped up on my sidebar. Watch as an ordinary fan is transformed into an action hero:

 

 

Randy may have only learned a little wing chun, but he’s clearly a master of gung ho.

Relatedly, I saw Iron Man 3 and loved that Tony has a wing chun wooden dummy. Robert Downey, Jr. has been practicing since 2003, long before his first Sherlock Holmes‘s sharp fight scenes made fandom go “whoa.” I haven’t spotted much wing chun-inspired fighting in the Iron Man movies — hard to tell through all the explosions — but there might have been some in that great handcuff-fight. Oh, no! I guess I’ll have to watch it again. 🙂
